An Update on InTune’s Creative Evolution!

An Update on InTune’s Creative Evolution!

If you’ve been around our studio lately, you already know that we are in the process of changing, growing, and expanding! We’ve been working long (and I mean long!) hours to develop and realize new, creative programs which are unique to Windsor and the surrounding area. Check out our fall lineup here. There is truly nothing more exciting than having an idea about a program, developing it, and watching it come to life. Some of the ideas have been our own, and some have happened through collaboration. For example, our Daytime Music + Art program started after I met a homeschooling parent who asked us if such a program existed. We connected with the homeschool community, and through her built an educational and hands-on weekly creative arts program. We recently received a call from a senior in our neighborhood interested in learning ukulele in a group and we’re working on making that happen, too. If you have an idea (and it can be as “out there” as you want), drop us a line and we’re happy to explore the idea with you!

Our recent expansion into the art/music merger is largely due to our newest staff member, Rachael Watson! After co-running a successful series of Music + Art summer camps at the studio with me, Rachael decided to leave her life in Toronto to pursue a career as a creative arts programmer with us here in Windsor! She is the co-creator of the Crafty Jammers preschool music + art program, co-leader of our Daytime Music + Art Classes for homeschoolers, and will be offering Art History in Action kids art classes on Tuesday evenings this fall here at InTune. In addition to her work as an artist and art teacher, Rachael is an accomplished pianist and organist, and is now accepting new piano students at InTune. Rachael works tirelessly behind the scenes for InTune as well, editing and designing our promotional material, administering the website, and managing our social media and communications. We are so happy to have her on board!

Along with expanding our team and our program offerings, we’ve reformatted our website to help you find what you’re looking for more easily. There is a new Calendar feature which allows you to see at a glance our group classes, upcoming events, holidays, etc. “Liking” and “Following” us (online, that is) will keep you up to date on all of our news. Sharing posts is a great way to help us get the word out to new people about our classes and programs.

A big thanks to all of you who continuously support and encourage us as a new business. We couldn’t do it without you.

Looking forward to making music and art with you in the future!

Sincerely,

Joanna Shultz
InTune Owner, Lead Piano Instructor
