Ages 6-8 | Saturdays 11:00am – 11:50am

Teacher: Shawna Munro (MFA)

This class offers a unique experience for young people to learn about culture and history through hands-on art making.
From the Instructor: “We will explore everything from Egyptian hieroglyphs to Medieval armour, from Renaissance painting to Surrealist sculpture, from the cave paintings of ancient people to Post-Modern art, and everything in between. Students will earn an appreciation for and an understanding of the techniques, skills, and symbolism used in different historical and artistic time periods and apply that knowledge to a creative artwork inspired by these subjects.”
Previous students of this class will find new projects and ideas presented in the 2017/2018 year.
